hug a tree

alright so i decided to remove the previous post because it gave the wrong impression ;S wei xiang came over right after my exams hence my absence, he left 2 days ago. my holidays just started and i am officially assignment and exam free :D so expect to see more of me from now on mwahaha. i’ll just post a couple of pics:

hello southbanks! :) i love this place, it’s right next to the brisbane river and it’s really pretty at night. in this picture we’re at the edge of the path leading to the artificial beach; my guess is it’s for ppl who don’t wanna travel all the way to the gold coast? x.x
.

a smurf sand sculpture :D so cool right? all i can build out of sand’s sand hills… or holes.
.

our 18th in oxley’s on the river. great food, bad service. never again.

saying goodbye was definitely tough and i really do feel like i’ve landed on a go back to start space halfway through the gameboard. makes me have second thoughts on going back to malaysia because i know i’ll have to leave again eventually. le sigh, i guess i’ll just have to see how things go.

but right now, things are not lookin good. i just had the worst hokkien mee for dinner :(

sigh i’ve been so bogged down with assignments lately i could cry. but i have yet to. i’m so strong. imagine multiplying kerja kursus sejarah by four. in the midst of that i still managed to catch two movies over the weekends hehe. is ironman not the coolest movie ever?? robert downey jr’s really funny but he’s not all that hot sorry T.T

but edmund of narnia? can you say yummy?

coffee in hand, i sat comfortably on the couch for greys anatomy. my sunday 8.30 pm routine. i couldn’t get this bit out of my head haha very funny. from the episode “losing my mind”

Chief: We need to write Adele again. She replied to my email but all she sent was a typo. She’s no better at this than I am.
George: That’s not a typo sir, that’s a wink
Chief: Well that’s a semi-colon and a closed parenthesis
George: Turn it sideways
Chief: Well what the hell does this mean?
George: She’s flirting, sir.
Chief: Oh…oh, that’s good!

and will everyone stop hating rose please ;S

today during english a friend was fiddling with my bag when he came across the school keychain. remember the golden metal star thingy they sell over at the ko-op? yes i still use it! semangat sbu ok.

“hey, what’s this?”
“my previous school”
“smeksebuu?”
“dude, those’re initials -.-”
“oh! so what do they stand for?”

i thought for a second. going sekolah menengah kebangsaan seri bintang utara would be a lil too ZOMGWTHBBQ!?!? so

“huh what swing shoe?”

bola

imma back! did you miss me? :D i know you did okay.

camp was awesome but it would have been alot better if it didn’t rain so much T.T in the whole month of may it doesn’t rain and when it decides to, it’s the 3 days of bio camp. oh the perfection. neways i’ll blog about camp when i get the pictures from a friend.

my weekends were pretty interesting. saturday was spent chillin at home (which i miss) away from the rain (which i really don’t miss) eating proper food and unpacking and groaning at the internet. we’ve reached the download limit so internet speed was uber slow. good thing it was like at the end of the month so in june it starts afresh. no doubt the internet speed here is really fast. like, if you wanna watch a vid on youtube, you just play it cause it loads quicker than it plays. hmm. d’that make sense? but i don’t like this download limit thing :( but i heard streamyx is being a real pain the arse as usual so maybe i shouldn’t complain.

sunday was less laid back. went to indooroopilly shopping mall (which is supposedly the biggest mall in brisbane and it’s about half the size of pavillion x.x). bought new clothes hoho shopping makes me happy. and then my sis and i tagged along with my dad who went tshirt shopping. some of them are really amusing, take a look:

the statement real men wear pink is proven here. love this tshirt! my dad refused to get it cause of it’s colour :( purple is gay. not pink. pink is manly. agreed?!
.

when i first saw this i was like eh isn’t this a women’s shirt? and then i realised… ohh x.x this innocent mind of mine takes awhile to really understand these sorta jokes ok.
.

my dad bought this shirt ahhaha. star wars much.
.

truthfully said?
.

this is the display i thought was pretty cool, made entirely out of cardboard boxes we would normally discard.

upon reaching home we changed into green shirts (because we don’t have yellow ones) and headed to suncorp stadium for the worldcup qualifiers : australia v iraq x) it was my first time ever watching a live football match. the 17 years i was in malaysia and i’ve never gone for a single match. so sad right but i bet noone else did too cause omg msian football… x.x

it was really crowded (later revealed that 48600+ ppl attended) and undoubtedly, the aussie supporters were aplenty. most of them were in yellow shirts (team colour’s yellow and green), there were ppl with these afro wigs – yellow on one side and green on the other half xD darn funny! and there were these hats in ball shapes, very cute i want one too :(

no, your eyes don’t deceive you, there are that many balls. this was during the warm-ups hence the extra uhm, balls.
.

i know the players look really tiny here but the view was surprisingly good despite our distance and height. the better tickets were sold out way before we could say ball. i think the stadium’s designed to promise a good view no matter where you’re sitting.
.

.

kick off! :D

as a whole, i thought it was a pretty exciting game. both sides played fairly well but i think the iraqis did a little better. it was really weird not having any commentary but the atmosphere is darn nice and time flies real quick. you really get into the game. there’s no replays, except for the occasional ones on the big screen. in the first 10 minutes 2 yellow cards were given to 2 iraqi players, lotsa cheers from the aussy supporters xD the first half flew by with no goals but alot of close ones from both sides.

i dunno what that man is doing apart from obstructing the view -.- oh yeah you see that white strip at the top left? it says “this sign is holding up the roof so don’t laugh at our small logo!” yaaah! >)

couple of minutes into the second half and harry kewell of australia scored! :D he plays for liverpool fc and was definitely the favourite. he received the loudest cheers at the start of the match and when he got substituted later on. i saw alot of ppl in his number 10 shirt. too bad he’s not 13 hehe.

the score remained 1-0 till the end. there was this one time we all thought aussy scored again, we jumped out of our seats and were going GOAALLL with everyone else when we realised it wasn’t a goal x.x 4 minutes extra time was added and then…the highlight of the game :D two iraqi supporters, caped in the iraq flag ran across the field to kacau the players xD i was lol-ing when these guys in black suits went after them. the spectators were like boo-ing and going wth?!

ok maybe that’s not the highlight of the match.

final score : Aussie wins 1-0

i had lots of fun, really enjoyed myself :) i wanna go to old trafford one day or stamford bridge (the home of ballack :D) that would be amazing.

there’s gonna be really slow (lyk snail-like speed) updates cause all my assignments seem to have the same thing in common; the friggin due date T.T the unfairness of it all sighsigh
